Debating Skills - National Tournament - 2024

On the 23rd of November, 2024, we will organize the Hungarian National Tournament of the Debating Skills - European Secondary School Student Debating Competition in Budapest. At the tournament, teams of three students will engage in debates in English. The winning team with their teacher will represent our country at the European final competition in Brussels next year.

Organised by CEPCEP, the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and EFEE (European Federation of Education Employers), the Debtaing  Skills - European Secondary School Student Debate Competition will take place in the Spring of 2025 in Brussels. The costs of the trip to Brussels will be covered by the project.

Each team will be prepared for the competition by their own teachers, who are most welcome to accompany the students as a part of the audience! One teacher can apply with more student teams. 

The proposed age range: 10th-11th grade in 2024/25

The debates will take place in Budapest, at ELTE Radnóti Miklós Elementary and Secondary Practice School (1146 Budapest, Cházár András u. 10. 
I. Floor, Ceremonial Hall) on the 23rd of November, 2024. All students are eligible who have a confident level of English speaking skills.
