The first Hungarian-Cuban Rectors' Forum was organized as the final program of the Cuban delegation's visit to Hungary
On October 25, 2023, the John von Neumann University in Kecskemét hosted the 1st Hungarian-Cuban Rector's Forum. The Republic of Cuba was represented at the forum by HE. E. Mr. Gulliermo Vazquez Moreno, Ambassador of Cuba to Hungary, Dr. C. Reynaldo Velázquez Zaldívar, Deputy Minister of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education and M. Sc. Iliana Martínez González, International Director of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education, accompanied by seven rectors of the country. The Hungarian higher education sector was represented by Dr. László Borhy, president of the Hungarian Rectors' Conference, board members Dr. Zita Horváth and Dr. Attila Fábián, as well as rectors of several member institutions. The displayed presentations of the forum presented various aspects of the higher education sector's role in sustainable development from both the Cuban and Hungarian sides, which laid the foundation for the development of future cooperation opportunities.
