László Borhy, the new honorary president of the HRC
Upon the expiration of his term, the outgoing president of the Hungarian Rectors' Conference (HRC) became honorary president of the HRC on 1 August 2025.
At its meeting on 5 November 2025, the HRC Plenary thanked László Borhy for his five years of work as president of the HRC, accompanied by a special surprise performance provided by the Budapest Circus Art and Contemporary Dance College. Béla Merkely, the new president of the HRC, expressed his special thanks to the outgoing president and indicated that the HRC would continue to count on his work as honorary president.
